Cover with a thick cloth. Bedspreads function, or 2 layers of blankets. Put a 100-watt light bulb on blankets or an electric heater. In the morning, remove the cover before the sun is too hot. Do NOT use plastic will not work. They saved several plants in recent years during a cold spell.

I have a neighbor here in New England, with one that more than ten years. It keeps the pot in a car and drag them in when the weather is cold. I wrap everything around him (jute rug or work). It is still too sensitive to cold (and the leaves very susceptible) for the crash.

yup, you have to move because it is a tropical species. Get the best lit Windo buy or grow lights, or even better, both for the winter.
